The impact of temperature on precision injection molds is very significant, but many people still do not know what the effects are. Below, I will briefly introduce it to you.
1. Deformation
The temperature of precision injection molds is stable and the cooling speed is balanced, which can reduce the deformation of products. For products with inconsistent wall thickness and disordered shapes, deformation often occurs due to uneven shortening. Therefore, it is necessary to choose a suitable cooling system to ensure that the temperature of each part of the mold and core is fundamentally uniform, so that the plastic melt in the mold cavity can condense together.
2. Scale accuracy
By using a temperature regulation system to maintain the stability of mold temperature, it can reduce fluctuations in the shortening rate of product forming and improve the stability of product scale accuracy. Choosing a lower mold temperature when possible can help reduce the molding shortening rate of the product. For example, for crystalline plastics, due to the lower mold temperature, the crystallinity of the product is low, and a lower crystallinity can reduce the shortening rate. However, low crystallization is not conducive to the stability of the scale of precision injection mold products. Starting from the stability of the scale, it is necessary to appropriately increase the mold temperature to make the product uniform.
3. Surface quality
The temperature of precision injection molds can improve the surface quality of products. Low mold temperatures can cause unclear product summaries and significant fusion lines, resulting in rough product surfaces.
